Subject: good crisp scanning job
Subject: good crisp scanning job
This is just a review of the Archive's execution of the scanning job. (Hamilton's reputation is what it is, far beyond my poor power to add or detract.)
Google Book Search happens to have posted their own PDF (B&W in their case) of this identical volume from UCB's Astro library. Even though Google's pixel size appears to be a tad finer, the Archive's scanning job is FAR more successful optically. Enlarged views of the title page (Hamilton's fine-print credentials) show that there's just no comparison. The IA download is more megabytes but your eyes will thank you for downloading it.
